About Us - 30+ Years of Audio Store Service

David Rother, the original owner of Hi-Pro Audio in Victoria Texas, is remembered by his friends and family for his iconic and colorful van which boasted a huge build with 24 15-inch audio subwoofers. According to his nephew, Justin Hosek, Rother’s dream was to open a car audio shop. In 1987, Rother’s father, Erwin Rother, loaned him money to start a business that began in a small Victoria County Texas retail location. The audio store business eventually grew and Rother ended up selling his van in order to gain funds to pour a concrete slab and build a new location.

Rother’s nephew, Justin Hosek shares, “Before the building was complete, he passed away in 1991. There were three walls up and my grandpa wanted to finish it. They kept the audio store business going in his memory. Today, we’re continuing David’s dream.”

Hi-Pro Audio has been in business for well over 30 years at this same location and Henry Hosek, Justin’s father, has been managing it since 1991 while Erwin and Martha Rother remain the owners. Henry and Justin Hosek, the father-and-son team, act as the main sales staff, but a majority of their installers are also cross-trained in product and pricing knowledge. The bulk of their business focuses on car speakers and car audio installation, but they also work with vehicle safety, marine audio or boat speakers, atv speakers, additional powersports audio, and motorcycle speakers.

Hi-Pro Audio is located at “the crossroads,” in Victoria, Texas near highways 59 and 77. The audio store continues to draw clients from numerous towns like Austin, San Antonio, and Houston Texas.
